There's a storm coming the weatherman couldn't predict!

Just checked my mail and my Shady Records swearthshirt came, just in time for the Frankenstorm. I found it in the mailbox on my way out to the store so I put it on right away and when I got to the supermarket "Lose Yourself" was playing over the radio speakers!

Then some Christina Agulaira song came on and it made me laugh out loud remembering the drawings of  Pristina Gagulaira on the Slim Shady Show.

These two leaves are from the same tree. It's a strange tree that grew up in the corner of the backyard. I think it was a weed that just said, "fuck this I am going to become a tree." it's like 12 feet tall and the leaves are gorgeous reds now, but it's so weird that it has two totally different shaped leaves throughout the tree. I don't know any other tree like that... It's my only tree. Maybe it's trying to be two trees at once so it doesn't get lonley.

I am so corny!

October, that old faker, coloring its leaves in deceptive gaiety...

For those of us born in October: You are philosopher and great teacher; likewise, you will travel far in search of the truth. The truth you are aiming for is right above your heads in the stars.

June is forever and forever returning.
Howling headlines will not prevent it.
Statistics cannot deny that which will be.

In my springtime heart I know that earth
will have its way. October, that old faker,
coloring its leaves in deceptive gaiety,

all the time meaning brittleness and brown
death, doesn’t fool me. December’s
snowflakes and gossamer enticements, hiding

sludge and dirt under the wings of Christmas
angels, can’t forever deceive. I know
what I know. There is something in the nature

of things that is assuring, that tells me the people
emerging from their dark lives to front porches
and sunlight when the warm days come

know the secret the universe sometimes tries
to conceal. Life forever rejuvenates
itself. Whatever else happens, life lives.

Happy Birthday Marshall Mathers!

Happy Birthday to My Hero!

Thank you for making honest, interesting, hilarious, righteously angry, politically aware, rock-star-sexy creative works of art and music that inspire me (and millions of other people) to keep living, working, dreaming, reaching, and fighting for what is right and good in this world.

I hope your birthday is full of joy and laughter.

Happy Birthday to Me

nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals
the power of your intense fragility: whose texture
compels me with the colour of its countries,
rendering death and forever with each breathing

Growing Pains

Lately I've been hard to reachI've been too long on my ownEverybody has their private world
Where they can be alone

Are you calling me?Are you trying to get through? Are you reaching out for me?I'm reaching out for you

Don't let 'em say you ain't beautifulThey can all get fucked, just stay true to youSo don't let 'em say you ain't beautifulThey can all get fucked, just stay true to you

Nobody asked for life to deal usWith these bullshit hands we're dealtWe gotta take these cards ourselvesAnd flip 'em, don't expect no help

To feel your pain, you feel mineGo inside each others mindsJust to see what we'd findLook at shit through each others eyes

Don't let 'em say you ain't beautifulThey can all get fucked just stay true to youSo don't let 'em say you ain't beautifulThey can all get fucked just stay true to you
So don't let 'em say you ain't beautifulThey can all get fucked just stay true to you

God gave you shoes to fit youSo put 'em on and wear 'emBe yourself man, be proud of who you areEven if it sounds cornyDon't ever let anyone tell you you ain't beautiful

The Slim Shady Show is Fucking Hilarious

WOW! I don't know how I never saw The Slim Shady Show before, I must not be as big an Eminem fan as I think I am!

Fuck that! I am a BIG fan, I'm just a fucking reclusive, shut-in who reads too much and doesn't have cable because I am trying to protect my brain from accidentally seeing bullshit housewife survivor K-Krap shitshows. The Slim Shady Show is fucking hilarious! It's so dark and violent and full of cursing and celebrity bashing. It made me laugh so hard because it was so cocky and raw.

Slim and his bully sidekick Big D beat the shit out of Leonardo DiCaprio, taunt Fred Savage, annihilate Ben Affleck with his Oscar, and insult the shit out of Matt Damon. I like all of those actors but that shit was still fucking hilarious! It totally reminds me of my comic book (which came out in 1997) and I am kind of glad I never saw Eminem's cartoon before now because I really need inspiration to get my animated pilot of Bathroom Girls done and now I have it! In a way it made me sad that I have toned down the violence and cursing in Bathroom Girls to get it network ready, it had to become something different, and it will serve a different purpose. The comic book will always exist how it was created, full of my teenage angst and rage.

Some interesting similarities between Eminem's cartoon and my book:

In my book the bathroom girls crash a party of some girls who they competed with earlier in the day. One of them slips drugs into the punch at the party.

In Slim Shady show Slim and his gang lose a basketball game against some other kids (south park gang!) and crash their party to taint the punch with drugs.

They also have a big fight in front of 7-11 type store.

The Bathroom Girls and Slim Shady's gang go cruising in their car from one violent encounter to the next... just small similarities that flipped me out when I saw them, I feel less alone as I move forward to work on my animation.

Once again Eminem's art keeps me going.

The writers at work found a ring in their pen cup and they gave it to me. It opens up so I put a picture of Eminem inside of it. Now I have three rings. One says "Love Life", one says "Good Luck" and the third is my new found ring with a picture of my brilliant, beautiful, artist, hero.

Love Life! Good Luck, Eminem!

You can do anything you set your mind to.

"Getting Into My Next Record" - Eminem

Happy Father's Day, Marshall.

I'm not putting a face on

Watched an interview with Eminem on YouTube where he talks about TI's album, The Paper Trail. Reminded me how much I love that album. Listening to it on a loop today and it is making me so happy, while I deal with disloyal, sniveling, desperate, back-stabbing, gutless, dying, fossils from hell.

Wish there was a place where I could access/read a list of Eminem's recommended records. Obviously he releases a lot of the artists he likes on his own label, but I would love to know his all-time faves. Would love to buy more inspiring, amazing, music to keep me ALIVE AND KICKING!

And the album art is pure genius as well.

Working While Listening to Eminem

Just working and listening to Eminem Interviews on YouTube. Been trying to punch through a big creative block. Eminem is my favorite medicine because he is passionate, honest, inspiring, intelligent, hilarious and wise.

I need to WORK HARDER AND BETTER AND I CAN'T QUIT! But I want to. But I won't. But I want to.
